Tennessee against Michigan State.

Both teams played good defense and went deep into their benches, keeping fresh legs in the game.  UT led by 2 at the half.

The second half was as tight and exciting as the first, no one was getting inside shots and very few second chances to shoot.

UT opened the 2nd half with a quick basket, which OSU promptly answered and the see-saw match resumed.  OSU lead for most of the 2nd half.  3 calls made by the refs were questionable in my opinion - on the OSU end it was a blocking foul against UT, but on UT’s end it was a charging foul on UT, yet to me they looked the same.  But then again, no one ( Read more... )

The University of Tennessee Volunteers are embroiled in a tight, see-saw game against the Ohio State University Buckeyes, trying to advance to round 4 for the first time in UT (men’s basketball) history.  Only 3 points separate them at the half.  The Bucks lead by as much as 7 but the Vols cut that down and the teams started trading baskets.   Ohio ( Read more... )
